Dr. Matt Hutter is a surgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical work focuses on general and advanced laparoscopic surgery including bariatric surgery. His medical degree is from the Harvard Medical School, and surgical training was at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a surgeon at the MGH Weight Center.
Dr. Hutter’s research is focused on the study of clinical effectiveness in surgery. He has completed a Masters in Public Health degree at the Harvard School of Public Health. He currently is the Director of the Codman Center for Clinical Effectiveness in Surgery at the MGH. He is the co-chairman of the SAGES Bariatric Group, and is on the advisory board for the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Surgery Center Network.
