| Biography: Erik Magnus Ohman, MD, FACC |
Erik Magnus Ohman is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Program for Advanced Coronary Disease and the UNCHeartCenter at DukeUniversityMedicalCenter.The main focus of Professor Ohman's research is in the management of acute myocardial infarction. His interest has revolved around the use of interventional procedures such as balloon angioplasty, intra-aortic balloon pumping and other support devices for the management of patients with acute myocardial infarction. Another major focus has been in the area of risk stratification in acute myocardial infarction. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, the European Society of Cardiology, and the AmericanCollege of Cardiology. |
