About

Deirdre Mattina, MD is a Staff Cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic. She began her medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School and went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University in New York City and, finally, her Cardiology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. While she cares for patients with all types of cardiac conditions and risk factors, she has a special interest in Preventive Cardiology, CardioObstetrics and healthcare disparities. She is the current Chair of Michigan’s Women in Cardiology Section and remains active within the American College of Cardiology. She looks forward to implementing and expanding programs in women’s cardiovascular care in her new position at Cleveland Clinic.
