Dr. Jorge Plutzky is a cardiovascular medicine specialist and the director of the Vascular Disease Prevention Program. He is also the Preventive Cardiology Director at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Plutzky is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and cardiovascular disease.

His clinical interests include the influence of diabetes on cardiovascular health and preventive education on cardiac disorders.

He is the author of more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and his research interests include metabolic pathways, lipid metabolism, arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, and vascular biology.
