Michael Miller, MD, FACC, FAHA is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, Epidemiology & Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. His major research interests are disorders of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism, molecular studies of HDL cholesterol, triglycerides and the postprandial response to dietary fat, nontraditional coronary risk factors and clinical trials to reduce atherosclerosis.

Education and Training

He earned his medical degree at Rutgers, completed a medical residency at the University of Cincinnati and fellowships in lipoprotein metabolism and cardiovascular disease at Johns Hopkins.

Professional Highlights

Dr. Miller has authored over 250 original articles, book chapters and other publications. He is a Section Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, serves on the AHA National Leadership Council and is Chair, ATVB Council of Clinical Lipidology. His most recent book, "Heal Your Heart," is Amazon’s highest-rated book in Heart Disease, with proceeds from the book donated to the American Heart Association.
