Gaples Institute for Integrative Cardiology
Stephen Devries, MD is a preventive cardiologist and Executive Director of the Gaples Institute for Integrative Cardiology, a nonprofit with the goal of advancing the role of nutrition and lifestyle in medicine. He is also Associate Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Devries received cardiovascular specialty training at Washington University in St. Louis and later completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Devries wrote “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Cholesterol” and coedited the book “Integrative Cardiology”.
Dr. Devries has been voted by his peers many years over as one of the “Best Doctors in America” and lectures internationally on integrative approaches to prevention of heart disease.
Dr. Devries and his work in integrative cardiology have been featured on National Public Radio and PBS.
