Learning Objectives:

  • Review the evidence supporting the utilization of digital health solutions to prevent type 2 diabetes
  • Describe the AMA/CDC Prevent Diabetes STAT initiative and the AMA Digital Health Roadmap as guides for implementing digital health technologies
  • Discuss examples of successful real-world digital health implementations, including solutions designed to support patient self-management, while applying key learnings to each attendee’s unique practice setting

In collaboration with the American Medical Association, this workshop will focus on the applications of digital health, and innovative approaches to support patients in chronic disease management and prevention.: specifically, the effectiveness of digital health solutions in patients with prediabetes. This interactive workshop will highlight the AMA’s digital health roadmap, which features guidance and tools for healthcare providers seeking real-world approaches in implementing digital health solutions designed to prevent type 2 diabetes. Attendees will learn about the CDC/AMA Prevent Diabetes STAT initiative for type 2 diabetes prevention, and ways to effectively implement clinical prevention efforts with digital tools, in order to support patients in achieving healthy lifestyles.
