After graduating with honors from the University of Texas, Dr. Lee completed his doctorate in medicine from the McGovern Medical School, formerly recognized as the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the Los Angeles County Hospital and the University of Southern California. He is currently a general cardiovascular diseases fellow at the Baylor Scott and White hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Lee’s research interests include advanced heart failure, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support, and translational medicine. He is a sub-investigator for several clinical trials at the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute. He has presented at several national cardiology conferences including the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and American College of Cardiology. His publications have appeared in the American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of the American Heart Association, Cell Death Discovery, Artificial Organs, and the Journal for Biomedical Optics.
