Dr. Brendan M. Everett is general and preventive cardiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).
Dr. Everett earned his medical degree from HMS. He completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed research fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular epidemiology at BWH. Dr. Everett is board certified in cardiovascular disease.
His clinical interests include coronary heart disease, lipid disorders, novel biomarkers of cardiovascular risk, cardiovascular disease in type 2 diabetes, preventive cardiology and valvular heart disease. The author of more than 75 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Everett is a clinical trialist focusing on inflammation biology and cardiovascular disease prevention in patients with diabetes.  His research explores key novel and established determinants of the risks and prevention of heart failure, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. His research has received support from the American Heart Association, the National Institutes of Health, and industry.
