This one-day symposium will focus on several rare diseases across the cardiometabolic spectrum, including in lipid metabolism, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and obesity.
These diseases often overlap and share features with common cardiometabolic disorders, and knowing how to discern between them can have important implications for patient management.
The discussion on these conditions will not only be limited to disease state awareness, but will also include expert clinical pearls and patient cases to assist clinicians in the differential diagnosis, referral, and management. Given that clinicians that see cardiometabolic patients may encounter these conditions in routine practice, the focus of this symposium will be on practical strategies that will improve their awareness and recognition.
