About

Kim Newlin is currently practicing as a Cardiology Adult Nurse Practitioner, Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Manager of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab and the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Transitional Care Teams at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. After earning a BS in Exercise Physiology at UC Davis, she completed the RN/CNS program at UC San Francisco, and the Gerontology/Adult Nurse Practitioner post-master’s program through the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Kim sees patients and supervises operations at the hospital’s transitional care Heart Health Clinic, which she helped establish seven years ago. She works with multiple disciplines and organizations to improve the patient experience during the transition home while reducing readmissions back to the hospital. She also works on process improvement programs within the hospital and throughout the region.

Kim is President-Elect for Preventive Cardiovascular Nurse Association’s Board of Directors, acting as advisor for the ACSM Exercise is Medicine Nursing Workgroup and the Million Hearts Cardiac Rehab Collaborative and participating on the AHA CVSN Complex Patient and Family Care committee.
