Dr. Surkin is triple-board certified in cardiology, sleep medicine, and nuclear cardiology and has more than 24 years of clinical experience. Dr. Surkin created a unique and effective practice model for patient care, emphasizing comprehensive wellness with a multifaceted approach to prevention, early detection, and aggressive management by incorporating sleep with cardiovascular and obesity medicine. In addition to advising physicians, dentists and corporations, Dr Surkin offers virtual care to patients across the U.S.
As founder of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Sleep Medicine, a nonprofit academic organization dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach to education, Dr. Surkin conducts clinical and academic research to further public awareness of the strong association between cardiovascular disease and sleep disorders.

Education and Training

Dr. Surkin completed his internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
