About

Dr. Kosiborod is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, cardiometabolic and cardiorenal syndromes, and quality care and outcomes. His main area of clinical expertise is in managing diabetes and glucose levels in patients with cardiovascular disease. He is vice president of Research at Saint Luke’s Health System, director of Cardiometabolic Research in Saint Luke’s Michael and Marlys Haverty Cardiometabolic Center of Excellence, and professor of medicine at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine.

He has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, including scientific statements and position documents, and is involved in the leadership of numerous clinical trials and multicenter registries. Currently, he serves as principal investigator of several clinical trials in diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
