Dr. Lori Daniels, MD, MAS, FACC, FAHA is a Professor of Medicine and Cardiologist at the University of California, San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, where she is the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Lori Daniels, MD, MAS, FACC, FAHA is a Professor of Medicine and Cardiologist at the University of California, San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, where she is the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. She completed her post-graduate training at UC San Diego and served as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow there. She received a Masters of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Daniels is the recipient of multiple national grants studying cardiovascular epidemiology, womenโs cardiovascular health, and cardiovascular biomarkers. She runs the Cardiovascular Biomarker Research Lab at UCSD. Her research interests focus on cardiovascular epidemiology, biomarkers, critical care cardiology, cardiovascular outcomes in young adults with a childhood history of Kawasaki Disease, and imaging in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. She has been a principal or co-investigator for many clinical studies, has given talks all over the world, and has authored or co-authored over 200 scientific papers, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts.
