Amy Hess-Fischl is an advanced practice dietitian and diabetes care and education specialist. For the past 15 years, she has worked in the University of Chicago’s pediatric and adult endocrinology departments.
She has co-authored several publications including the 2015 and 2020 Consensus Reports for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support in Type 2 Diabetes. In 2021, she also co-authored the first ADA/EASD Consensus Report for Type 1 diabetes, which introduced a T1D-specific 4 Critical Times for DSMES graphic
