About

Cres Miranda, MD, FACC, FACP and FSCAI is a Cardiologist at Nevada Heart and Vascular Center in Las Vegas, NV. He is currently the Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Nevada in Reno, and is the Former Director, Adult Cardiac Cath Lab at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Dr. Miranda attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine for his degree, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas, Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center Division of Cardiology as well as his Advanced Coronary Angioplasty Fellowship at Mid America Heart Institute, St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Dr. Miranda has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, and abstracts.

Over the years, Dr. Miranda has received multiple awards including Desert Companion Magazine’s “Top Interventional Cardiologist,” 2011, 2012; Las Vegas Life Magazine’s “Top Doctors,” 2012, 2013; “Best Cardiologist,” 2012 for Vegas Seven Magazine and US News and World Report’s “Best Doctors, 2011. Also honored as “Most Compassionate Doctor” in 2010 Patient Choice Awards.
