Dr. Donald M. Lloyd-Jones is the department chair of Preventive Medicine and the Eileen M. Foell Professor of Heart Research at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.

His research interests are cardiovascular disease epidemiology, risk estimation, prevention, and the life course of cardiovascular health. Dr. Lloyd-Jones has authored more than 700 peer-reviewed scientific papers.

He has been a national leader for the American Heart Association for over 20 years. Dr. Lloyd-Jones has been a leader in developing national clinical practice guidelines for the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
