Dr. Cusi is chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida. He is board certified in internal medicine, and in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism. Prior to joining the University of Florida, Dr. Cusi was a faculty member of over 15 years in the Diabetes Division at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Veterans Health Administration System in Texas; one of the leading diabetes programs in the country.

Professional Highlights

Dr. Cusi is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He has participated in many clinical diabetes programs and in the training of many young researchers and clinicians, and served as the principal investigator on many clinical translational research projects in cardiometabolic-related conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
