About

As both an internal medicine physician and chef, Dr. Shiue is the first director of culinary medicine at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco. She is the founder of Thrive Kitchen, a teaching kitchen for patients to support her philosophy that the best medicine is prevention. Dr. Shiue has served as faculty at the University of California San Francisco and Stanford University, and serves on the board of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
