About

Dr. R. Preston Mason is president and co-founder of Elucida Research, a biotechnology research institute. He has received many awards for his research in cardiovascular pharmacology and teaching over the past 30 years, including an honorary doctorate in science from his alma mater, Gordon College. He serves as a consultant for industry including for Amarin, Corp, and is the president and co-founder of Elucida Research LLC, a private biotechnology firm, in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Dr. Mason has been a faculty member at different medicals schools, including the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University (now Drexel University College of Medicine), and the Harvard Medical School-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he took part in various education and research programs. He has published over 250 scientific research articles, book chapters, and abstracts and is a frequent lecturer at national and international meetings.
