Robert John Hughes is a marketing strategist, brand advocate and media business entrepreneur. His expertise includes the fields of marketing, advertising, business consulting, leadership training, public relations, journalism, and broadcasting. He is co-founder of ChangeWell Training Academy.

Robert is a former White House news correspondent for a major American broadcaster. During his career he interviewed some of the most notable figures in American politics and government. He is the author of How to Write a One Page News Release – Make Your Own News and Get it Covered for Free.

Following the journalism phase of his career, Robert entered radio station management first as an award winning news director at WASH-FM, Washington, DC. He became the station’s Program Director and developed the Adult Contemporary music format, which has become one of the most listened to forms of radio in America today. He was appointed station manager at WXTR in Washington, DC where he more than doubled the station’s value in three years. Robert was a co-founder and President of US Radio which became one of the four largest American radio companies. In the early 90s, bucking the Wall Street financed consolidation of the radio business, he led the formation of Compass Radio Group, that owned six locally managed stations in St Louis, Phoenix, and San Diego.

Turning his writing and producing skills to the field of advertising, he has created marketing campaigns for thousands of clients. His copywriting, directing, and producing talents have won him the coveted Mercury Award as well as several ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation.

His management consulting clients include Aetna Insurance, Heller Financial, and Chrysler Capital. As a voice over narrator, he has performed for a host of international brands including Starbucks, Porsche, Ingersoll-Rand, La Prairie, Lockheed Martin, United Bank of Switzerland, Volkswagen/Audi, Harman Kardon, Samsung, China Tourism, and Macy’s.

Throughout his career, Robert has lectured and taught subjects as diverse as media and politics, advertising and marketing, and self-expression and leadership. He graduated from Fordham University in New York with a degree in English and Mass Media.
