About

Dr. Simha, MBBS, MD is a Consultant in the Division of Endocrinology, and Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Simha completed his medical school and post graduation in human physiology at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in India before coming to the United States for Internal Medicine Residency at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. He completed his Fellowship training in Endocrinology, and in Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. He served on the faculty at UT Southwestern and in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center before moving to Mayo Clinic in 2012. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Clinical Lipidology.

Dr. Simha's research interests include lipodystrophy and the role of body fat distribution on glucose and lipid homeostasis, and has many publications in the field of lipodystrophy and leptin-replacement therapy.
