CMHC is pleased to announce the continuation of the George L. Bakris Scholarship Program, established in honor Dr. George L. Bakris, who was a strong supporter of education in cardiorenal metabolic medicine.
We invite passionate students, fellows, and any clinicians-in-training interested in cardiometabolic medicine to participate in this program. This includes those specifically interested in lipidology, cardiology, endocrinology, preventive cardiology and health professionals involved in the management and treatment of cardio renal metabolic patients. This program, in partnership with the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), offers aspiring leaders the valuable opportunity to connect with esteemed faculty mentors and gain insights from world-renowned experts in the field of cardiometabolic health.
*Updated* Chosen applicants will receive complimentary meeting registration, airfare, ground transportation, a two-night hotel stay at the 20th Annual Cardiometabolic Health Congress, and the opportunity to personally meet with CMHC faculty, with an option to submit and present a poster abstract.Â
Additional Details for Eligibility:
- Scholarship applicants must be based in the US, and present evidence of their student status upon request.
- Scholarship recipients must attend the full meeting and answer surveys over a one-year period to assess how the experience at the meeting impacted them.
- Past recipients will not be eligible.
- Scholarship recipients will receive a maximum of a two-night stay at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza and will receive complimentary registration. *Updated* Recipients will also receive coach airfare and ground transportation!
