Dr. Gurusher Panjrath is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at George Washington University and INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute in Washington DC. He is the Director of the Heart Failure and Mechanical Support Program at George Washington University. He trained in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure and transplant at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and American Heart Association (AHA) and is the chair of Heart Failure and Transplant Section at ACC. His research has been published in high impact journals. He has been a recipient of research awards and grant funding from societies including ACC, ASNC and various foundations. He serves on editorial boards and is a reviewer for multiple cardiology journals and scientific sessions abstracts for ACC and AHA. He is an editor of ACC HF SAP and a keen educator and directs the cardiovascular training for medical students.
