Dr. Devries is preventive cardiologist and Executive Director of the Gaples Institute, an educational nonprofit with the mission of advancing the role of nutrition and lifestyle in healthcare.
Dr. Devries trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, received Cardiovascular fellowship training at Washington University, and later completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Devries lectures internationally on nutrition, lifestyle, and health and his work has been featured on National Public Radio and PBS.
At the Gaples Institute, Dr. Stephen Devries has led the development of award-winning nutrition learning programs for both professional and public-facing audiences.
