CMHC Pulse Blog

The Cardiometabolic Health Congress launched in October 2006 in Boston and since then has grown to become the largest US-based, multidisciplinary conference addressing cardiometabolic disease prevention and management through an integrated approach to education. Now in its 11th year, CMHC Boston is held each October and attended by 1300+ mid to advanced level healthcare professionals seeking real-world solutions to integrate directly into their clinical practices. The goal of the CMHC is to improve patient outcomes through early identification and intervention strategies for patients with, or at risk of developing, cardiovascular and metabolic disease.

CMHC’s educational curriculum is scientifically independent and guided by our CMHC Chairs, all of whom are renowned international authorities in their respective fields: Christie M. Ballantyne, MD; Robert H. Eckel, MD; Jay S. Skyler, MD; and George L. Bakris, MD. CMHC jointly provides continuing education credit with the accredited provider, Medical Education Resources (MER). As an accredited CME/CE provider, MER fully complies with the standards and guidelines of the ACCME, the ANA, and the ACPE.

In 2015, CMHC expanded to include the Best of the CMHC Regional Conference Series. This convenient 1-day Saturday meeting is held in cities across the US, with 2016 dates and locations including Atlanta on May 7 and Chicago on June 18. CMHC expanded further in 2016 to include the inaugural CMHC West, held in San Francisco on March 4-5.

CMHC also offers busy clinicians CMHC Online, a single access point for educational resources and online courses, many of which features the expert content and faculty from CMHC live events. More than 70 world-renowned faculty experts translate the latest data into practical strategies to combat cardiometabolic risk during our live events and through our enduring educational activities.

CMHC was acquired by Tarsus® in 2014 to expand Tarsus’ medical division, Tarsus Medical Group, to include live and online medical education offerings focused on the prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases.
