Dr. Anuradha Lala-Trindade has clinical interests encompassing all aspects of the management of heart failure. She focuses on the selection and care of patients with mechanical circulatory support devices and heart transplantation as well as genetic cardiomyopathies and perioperative management of high-risk cardiac surgical cases. She believes in a patient-centered approach to treatment, taking into account each individual’s unique needs and preferences. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Lala-Trindade serves as the director of Heart Failure Research and leads the Data Coordinating Center for the NHLBI Cardiothoracic Surgery Network. She has authored a number of peer reviewed scientific publications and feels fortunate to serve on local and national committees devoted to advanced heart disease.
