Dr. Jorge Silva Enciso, MD, is a cardiologist who cares for patients with progressive heart failure symptoms in need of advanced therapies or surgical treatments, including ventricular assist devices and heart transplantation. He directs the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program at the University of California San Diego Health, one of only four in the state recognized by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association as a Center of Excellence. The program offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options with a variety of experts including cardiologists, surgeons, genetic counselors and mental health professionals, all aimed at supporting hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patient care. As an associate professor of medicine in the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Silva Enciso instructs medical students, residents, cardiology fellows and advanced fellows in heart failure.
