Dr. Sunny D. Smith is a clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. As an advocate for medical student and physician wellness, Dr. Smith has been featured in documentaries such as The Residents, Suffering in Silence and Do No Harm. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association.
